This original painting in acrylic on wood was inspired by the Irish landscape, more specifically the landscape near where I live in Co.Wexford. This is a scene I paint often but every painting is different as each one is influenced by whatever is happening at the time it is created; the weather, emotions, imagination, the time of day, the music I am listening to.
It is a textured scene showing the lush green grass and colourful skies of a beautiful spring day. The painting is built up layer by layer using various tools as well as brushes and pallet knives.
