'The Wild Place' (Internal World 27) 2020 is a painting from my ongoing Internal World Series, which is a response to research into spiritual hunger, the mystery of being human, looking internally and connecting to nature. The abstract imagery is inspired by the wild and magical Irish landscape. It represents our inner landscape, our internal world with many pathways, our desire to be wild and free while still being aware of our responsibilites. The painting started with a vibrant yellow background and the blue, black white and red were added during the organic, intuitive process that occurs as a painting progresses.
